Finally, a mainstream song that I can relate to. I was going to post up the video but for some reason it’s not working.
And you ask me what I want this year
And I try to make this kind and clear
Just a chance that maybe we’ll find better days
Cuz I don’t need boxes wrapped in strings
And designer love and empty things
Just a chance that maybe we’ll find better days
So take these words
And sing out loud
Cuz everyone is forgiven now
Cuz tonight’s the night the world begins again
And it’s someplace simple where we could live
And something only you can give
And thats faith and trust and peace while we’re alive
And the one poor child that saved this world
And there’s 10 million more who probably could
If we all just stopped and said a prayer for them
So take these words
And sing out loud
Cuz everyone is forgiven now
Cuz tonight’s the night the world begins again
I wish everyone was loved tonight
And somehow stop this endless fight
Just a chance that maybe we’ll find better days
So take these words
And sing out loud
Cuz everyone is forgiven now
Cuz tonight’s the night the world begins again
Cuz tonight’s the night the world begins again

Hi there,
I appreciate reading these lyrics. Sometimes, we can listen to a song a million times and never really HEAR it. Same with life’s lessons. They keep visiting us until we finally pay attention and learn what we need to learn from it, thus resolving karma. Then it is so clear, undeniable and we wonder why it took us so long to get it.
Thanks for posting this and teaching me.
Regards,
S
I was thinking about Amitabha, the Buddha of Infinite Light, the other day when I realized something that was painfully obvious, yet seems so hard to really grasp for so many of us.
“Every sentient being is recognized, every sentient being is loved, every sentient being is needed.”
Compassion abounds.
