Speaking of science fiction from my last post…
Admittedly, Transformers will always be my favourite sci-fi franchise. But to me, the Gundam series is better than the Star Wars franchise simply for its much closer proximity to Earth. I never understood where humans came from in Star Wars; and frankly I found most ideas in Star Wars boring (apart from the history of the Sith and the Sith Order… they’re awesome). I’ve uploaded videos today to help you make up your own mind. First up is a quick summary of what happened in the ‘epic’ Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.
You know it’s so true. The actor for Anakin Skywalker was horrible, and the script itself, while good in some places, was disjointed to the point that Anakin’s conversion to the Dark Side really can be summed up in three sentences: “I’m happy,” “No you’re not,” and “You’re right.” Let’s not forget the final battle between Obi-Wan and Anakin where the former screams, “Anakin, Senator Palpatine is evil!” And Anakin, to my horror, retorts, “Well from my point of view, the Jedi are evil!” Suddenly I had a flashback to all my philosophy tutorials at UQ where sometimes there would be immature arguments like this: “I’m right!” “No you’re not!” “That’s just your opinion!” That part was so lame I got diarrhea, herpes and moldy testicles all at the same time and had to flee the cinema.
Now compare this to Gundam 00, one of the cartoons I am (struggling) to keep up with. The era is Anno Domini, where the Earth has started to harness the limitless power of the sun through three ‘orbital elevators’. There are now three major powers, each representing economic zones: the Union of Solar Energy and Free Nations (America, Australia, and Japan), the Human Reform League (China, India, and most Asia-Pacific nations), and the Advanced European Union. Enter Celestial Being, an organization with the mobile battlesuits we speak of. It is a very good cartoon; I would highly recommend it.
I don’t think there’s any competition here, really. Star Wars is overrated; come join the fun at the Gundam HQ.
P.S. This post was completely objective, unbiased, and non-partisan.

Really? You sort of give the impression you already have diarrhea, herpes and moldy testicles. Also the suns energy is not limitless.
Hooray, I’ve reeled in my first Star Wars fanboy. ;)
I may start watching at again but I’ll wait for Code Geass to finish :P
I’m ashamed to say I haven’t watched Code Geass, but I have indeed heard of its awesomeness.
“I find your lack of faith… disturbing… These gundams are insignificant next to the power of the Force.” (by the way Star Wars is not only about Episode 3, retard!)
Yet another fanboy bites the bait.
“I find your indignation… disturbing…”
