Today I am offering you the Truth of the World!
I am being serious!
If you read this for the first time, you are about to learn a profound truth that all open-minded Religion students learn! It’s Philosophy of Religion 101!
Here it is: whatever differences and different beliefs may exist between people, all are humans who live, cry, laugh, fuck, hate, and die the same way. It is simply silly to believe different people deserve any less than love, compassion, and a willing ear that they can talk to when they are troubled.
And the clincher is, you are kidding yourself if you think your religious position automatically makes you a better person than someone else.
So commonsense, ay? Meditate on it; too few people do so nowadays.

I concur!
Hi!
I am looking for a post I read a while ago and don’t remember who blog was. I read a beautiful post about an American woman who was tracking in Tibet and came across a Buddhist monk.
The monk asked her what religion she was and she said she didn’t follow any (atheist).
And the monk said: Ah! So you are a Buddhist…
And later she became an important female Buddhist in America.
Do you know this story or similar? Not sure if it is all correct.
I am really looking for it everywhere and cannot find it.
If you know please send me the link.
Many thanks
May you be happy, may you be well,
Angel (angelferrary@hotmail.com)
Hi Angel,
I am not aware of that story. Thanks for sharing. Will notify you if I come across it.
Hey! That Truth of the World sounds vaguely familiar… ;)
One of my favorite expressions is “If you meet the buddha in the road, Kill it.”
Any concept, any belief, any idea that you run into and desire to hold onto….kill it. Let it go.
Good post.
It is our ego, not our true self who wants to be right, who wants to put us above others. You speak the truth we are all one.
Yes!!
While our spiritual practice might help to make us each better as individuals. . .it has nothing to do with being better than others; that sort of flawed understanding is a trap to best avoided.
Take care and thanks for all the great posts.
