Today was my fourth and final session of volunteering. Hopefully I will be able to do the same thing sometime next year. Now that it is Wednesday, there’s a whole heap of stuff that needs to be arranged. Laundry is insane; I dislike doing laundry at college. Good thing I’ve been relatively organized despite having much on my mind in recent days, including being on the receiving end of a boring, but predictable, bitch-job from a former friend.
And hopefully I will obtain my new karate gi from my sensei either on Thursday or Friday, who’s having it shipped over from Melbourne! It’s much heavier and more durable than my shoddy $40 gi, and with an embroided International Goju-Ryu Karate logo on the breast area. Should be pretty cool.
Thursday and Friday will be smooth sailing. I’m actually more eager to attend the annual Karate dinner than the party session at the Embassy tomorrow night, but I’m more eager than anything else to go home. The excitement of boarding a plane overseas, whether for holiday, work, or going home is always exhilarating. For those who haven’t been outside their country, there has been no better opportunity to go see what the world has to offer. This is the 21st century and a crazy, insane, screw-me-dead nutty world. What does this mean for warriors and priests? It’s damn fun.
Hopefully I’ll be inspired to write more religion/philosophy/history entries soon. For now, however, I’m happy to just wish all academics the best of times with end-of-year celebrations. You guys need it.

hey raymond.. don’t worry about it. we’ve all had our share of the bitching… anyway i hope your having a good time back at home in hong kong. i’d like to visit someday. :-)
